SERVICES

Refer to the sections below for the various services offered and approximate pricing.

EDITORIAL | The prices listed below are subject to change based on the state of the manuscript. Refer to each section to learn more about the materials you will need to email me as well as the types of edits and pricing you can expect. While all projects emailed will be considered, I may potentially pass on your inquiry if I do not believe I'm the right fit. I will consider any young adult and middle grade fiction as well as select adult fiction. I do not edit nonfiction or poetry.

 

Please note that I work at an agency. Therefore, if you contact me for my editorial services, you may not query me with your manuscript at any time. 

Developmental Editing

A developmental editor takes an in-depth look at your entire manuscript, from wording and phrasing of specific lines to more encompassing issues such as structure, development, plot, characters, and pacing. Each manuscript will receive a free sample edit with a personalized bid for services. Please email me the first fifteen pages of your book as well as short summary of the story for your manuscript to be considered. Pricing is based on word count and shape of the manuscript. 

  • Basic: 0.02 cents/per word

  • Heavy: 0.025 cents /per word

Copy Editing

 A copy edit entails checking your work for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic fact checks. This should be done once your manuscript has gone through a developmental edit. The copy edits will be applied following the Chicago Manual of Style guidelines. Each manuscript will receive a free sample edit with a personalized bid for services.

  • Basic: 0.01 cents/per word

  • Heavy: 0.02 cents /per word

Submission Package (synopsis, query, first 15 pages)

A synopsis is a summary of your novel’s plot from beginning to end. It should include all major plot points as well as give agents an idea of your main characters and their personal development throughout the novel. A synopsis should, preferably, be no more than a page single-spaced (12 sized-font, times new roman) as most agencies will require that length.

 

A query is a pitch of your book meant to entice an agent to read your manuscript,. It typically includes genre, title, word count, a brief intro to the plot and its hook, and a short bio on the writer. It will usually be around 300 words long.

  • $100 flat rate

DESIGN | The prices listed below are subject to change based on the requirements for the project. Refer to each section to learn more about the materials you will need to email me as well as the types of services and pricing you can expect. While all projects emailed will be considered, I may potentially pass on your inquiry if I do not believe I'm the right fit. I offer both flat rates and hourly rates. 

Website Design

For website design services, I include design, content creation (depending on need), a copy edit of text, 2 full revisions, and a personalized review and meeting schedule. You can choose from 2 processes.  Should you select to utilize my services, please email me which process you'd like to proceed with as well as any information you have on your website, such as number of pages required, specific needs, similar websites that fit your vision, and a preferred deadline if you have one in mind. I will then be able to provide you with an estimate of final cost for the project.

  • Hourly rate: $25 

  • Flat rate: solidified once site needs are finalized

Process 1 |  I would work with you to solidify your vision and design your website accordingly, using programs such as Wix and InDesign to show you what the final product will look like. After I've designed and finalized the visuals for your site, you would hire a developer to take the final design and implement it into whatever program you wish to use--whether that be wordpress or something else. In addition to designing the site, I'd work with the developer to make sure the design is implemented correctly.

Process 2 |  I would design and develop your website utilizing the website design program Wix. This program would be where the site would be launched from and managed from indefinitely. Given my familiarity with Wix and the ease of use, a developer would not be needed. However, along with my hourly rate, you'd need to pay Wix a yearly cost that will depend on what plan you choose. Once the site is designed, ownership would either be transferred to you (allowing you to make your own website updates internally), or I would retain ownership (allowing me to make website updates as needed on your behalf). 

Proposal/Presentation Design

A proposal/presentation design can be done for a range of projects, including but not limited to book proposals, powerpoints, and more. When it comes to proposal design, I typically use either InDesign or Canva but am open to other programs. For powerpoint presentations, I typically use Canva or Microsoft Powerpoint. Should you select to utilize my services, please email me with any information you have on your projec and a preferred deadline if you have one in mind. I will then be able to provide you with an estimate of final cost for the project.
